Time Series is the working title. Generative (randomised) animations culminate in a final still image (see video animations). The final still image mimics a painterly endpoint, or running out of time.
Text descriptions mean any curatorial framing is possible, including biological, cosmic or quotidinal naming; or Untitled.
The work has its origins in a modern recoding of my “Abstract Originals” program, originally distributed by Micro Arts in 1984. The lines and bars are the elements in the the first art program, out of the seven included. This also questioned the naming of abstract art, with the ironic quote marks of the title.
