TELL ME MORE

TELL ME MORE is a text art generator that combines intriguing oracular phrases with classic computer graphics. This version runs through three phrase sets. If you wish use the YouTube setting to adjust speed.

Featured at the V&A Digital Design Weekend as part of the Computer Arts Society’s programme, 18–20 September 2026; and in Oracle Machines, a Computer Arts Society exhibition at BCS Moorgate, opening on 21 October 2026. It was also shown in The Unexpected Story talk at CAS, May 2026.

TELL ME MORE has a generative text engine reveals words letter by letter from sets of phrases, or it can use whole phrases, enabling a variety of text combinations or machine dialogues.

STUDIO WALKING

See below for the Studio Walking (2025) program which is based on a program in MA2 Various Unusual Events (1984, Micro Arts). The art can be adjusted at start or when running, to control grids, timing, squares, circles (pixel mode) and typewriter modes. These are all shown below. The grid runs from 1 to 35 active cells; at larger sizes it begins to suggest artificial life arrays. It includes a text generator and an audio mode with harmonic and ASMR tones.

Based on Studio (Random Walking) from Geoff Davis (1984) in MA2 Various Unusual Events. Click for the original.

The next video shows the ‘feet’ only being selected via the menu, which gives the appearance of artificial life, which is double artificiality, as these feet do not interact with each other.

The next has music by Patryk Jaworski / Etalon.
